Alex is a consultant who helps organizations achieve digital transformations and entrepreneur specializing in market design. He has worked for clients in designing bikeshare & rideshare networks, IP markets, and peer-to-peer ecommerce & investment platforms. Alex studied market dynamics, disruptive innovation, and two-sided network effects while earning his MBA at Harvard Business School; management of information systems at The University of Texas; and learning from failure at the School of Hard Knocks. In his spare time Alex likes to coach little league soccer, mentor high school students applying for college, and volunteer at a local organic farm. He lives in Connecticut with his wife Cara, three kids, two dogs, and a fish named Moana.
Alvin learned the value of integrity, discipline, and hard work from his upbringing in Malaysia and subsequent work experience in Southeast Texas as a Process Engineer. He is noted for his ability to optimize unit operations with improvements that yield results for those who come after him. Alvin is an avid learner and is fluent in Chinese, English and Malay. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Christian Brothers University in Memphis, TN, graduating Summa Cum Laude.
Austin is an engineer by training and profession, with a particular focus on reliability and process improvement in the Chemical industry. He lives in Southeast Texas and enjoys rapidly checking off items on his “bucket list” – recent adventures included scaling Mt. Kilimanjaro and sailing the Greek Isles. He earned his Mechanical Engineering degree at Lamar University.
Bryan has worked and managed in many areas through his career, including sales, marketing, technology infrastructure, and executive management (including acquisitions). Bryan has conceived and led projects at all levels, and excels in change management and mentoring. His love of learning is reflected in a dual Management and Marketing degree and Executive MBA from the University of Connecticut; he graduated first in his cohort for the latter and was nominated for the Uconn School of Business Hall of Fame. Bryan lives in Connecticut with his wife and daughter.
Following his 20-yr career as a US Navy Flight Officer, Jean-Pierre “JP” Bolat headed up Public Sector business development at Oracle Japan and went on to work extensively as a leader and consultant in the Aerospace & Defense, Cyber-Security, and Manufacturing industries. JP particularly enjoys helping start-ups and mid-stage companies grow to the next level. A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, he earned his MS in Astronautical Engineering at the Naval Postgraduate School, and his MBA from the Fox School of Business, Temple University.
Stephen has 15 years of experience as a consultant, across a diverse range of industries and at every scale imaginable, from raw startup to global behemoth. He specializes in organizational development initiatives that deliver tangible benefits to his clients, with a particular focus on supporting Lean Six Sigma transformations. He is a recognized thought leader in this area who published 6 trade articles in 2016 alone. He lives in Pennsylvania with his wife and enjoys reading, writing, and the occasional 12-mile obstacle course race.
Michael Connolly is a senior who will be graduating the University of Connecticut in spring 2018, where he studies Finance and Economics. He is interested in entrepreneurship and private equity. Michael enjoys sailing and hiking in his spare time.
Richard currently studies Finance at the University of Connecticut (with a minor in Digital Marketing & Analytics). When he’s not at college, he spends time with his family on Long Island, NY. His interests include sports and traveling.
